Making Changes
To be sustainable changes to our lives need to be implemented in an evolutionary, not revolutionary way.  That's not what we typically try to do though is it?  Typically, we are unhappy with some aspect(s) of our lives and we let it continue to fester until we reach a tipping point, and then try and make multiple radical changes all at once. Strength From Adversity
Nietzsche told us, "That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger", but is this really true?

We see and hear many stories of people who have triumphed over adversity and gone on to do great things with their lives.  But if we asked a sample of people who have suffered loss, hardship or serious illness we would likely find that in many cases they haven’t ended up feeling stronger as a result of their ordeal.  The endemic use of anti-depressants worldwide also attests to a lack of automatic gain in strength from facing adversity.  So if gaining strength from adversity isn’t a given then how does it happen?  ...read more.


Change Starts Within
The starting point is within.  That is where, in conjunction with shared reality, we create our individual reality.  But too often we search outward first.  We need only tap into this power that is already within us in order to benefit and grow.  This includes being able to direct the focus of that power onto specific issues…let’s examine this using the example of weight loss.
